Guidelines for
Credentialed Media

Out & Equal Workplace Advocates is pleased to offer journalists and working media access to the Summit, provided such access is for the purpose of generating coverage of the Summit itself or topics related to LGBT equality in the workplace.

Regretfully, Out & Equal cannot provide free access to certain events including the Gala Awards Dinner, the Thursday Night Entertainment, the Women’s Networking Lunch, the Regional Affiliate Networking Lunch, or the HR Networking Lunch. However, we will offer media the opportunity to register and pay for these opportunities individually.

All working press interested in attending the Out & Equal Workplace Summit must send a letter of request detailing the nature of pre, post or combined Summit coverage by September 13, 2007.

Any media person requesting on-site registration will be required to present:

• A letter of assignment, on company letterhead, from an editor or publisher detailing the intended assignment and expected coverage, or
• Press credentials granted by a government organization, or
• Verifiable identification, a business card identifying you as a member of the press, and an example of the media for which you work.

Out & Equal reserves the right to reject requests for on-site registration for any reason, including our inability to verify your status as working media, failure to prove that your attendance will result in coverage, etc.

At this time, Out & Equal can only provide credentials to members of print, radio, television and internet journals intended for a public audience. This includes trade media, LGBT-themed media, and mainstream media, but does not include company newsletters or other forms of internal communication, certain types of personal journals/blogs/podcasts, and those conducting research for books.

Out & Equal will credential press only; no press guests will receive credentials for conference activities.

Press serving as panelists or moderators will receive credentials at the pre-registration area and not at the press center.
