LGBT Leadership Development

LGBT leaders learn to explore the necessary critical attitudes and skills for sound leadership. Participants examine the competencies and values that define excellent leaders and identify their unique strengths, opportunities, and patterns of interaction. Understanding Whiteness/Unraveling Racism

As “targeted” individuals, the LGBT community has a responsibility to seek understanding of how we have been socialized to maintain whiteness—and then do something about it. This is a training seminar for white people and for people of color to turn the lens on whiteness. Participants will experience the Understanding Whiteness/ Unraveling Racism (UW/UR) model. Actions steps will include strategizing for effective ways to be more inclusive, welcome dialogue, and create safety for all in our diverse community.

Inspiring Audiences

The success of anyone in a leadership role depends to a large degree on his or her ability to move audiences. This program is especially effective for corporate leaders who present strategic goals and messages, or whose job it is to energize, re-inspire, or redirect teams and initiatives. The workshop will aim to help the participants define charisma, craft an inspiring vision, and develop powerful stories that support the vision. Registration for this half-day seminar is open to everyone.
